Quite funny that they halted the stock today. I wonder whats going on? You can still trade it in Frankfurt exchange https://www.boerse-frankfurt.de/equity/canada-nickel-co-inc
Timely bump of this thread with SP so high. I'm still of the opinion it makes the most sense to keep raising cash when clearly it won't affect SP. Another $5B raise would be nothing and pays for an entire East Coast US gigafactory plus. We NEED cells for storage, it can't be denied when Powerwalls are $10.5k on the Tesla site right now. Demand is through the roof and we're about to see megapack demand scale like crazy. Are resources literally the only logical thing keeping Elon from doubling cell production? How long til upstream ramps sufficiently to double capacity?
EDIT: PEA results are not out yet. Made a mistake. But they have announced positive initial metallurgy results on 23 Dec https://canadanickel.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/CNC-07-31-2020-FS.pdf
I toyed with the idea of buying NOU.V (but didn't) when it was trading at $0.20 forever (like for years until about 6 months ago). These are the guys that put out a funny video about a year ago imploring Elon to call them about their battery qrade graphite mine. Seems they've pass some major milestones since then and it now trades 8.5x at around $1.70. Sigh.
Lake Resources LLKKF up a big 20% for some reason, Mountain Pass Materials MP up 14%, also a mystery.
It seems in general an up day for the resources: CNIKF: +10.5% NNOMF: +5.52% FPOCF: +5.4% HNCKF: +3% PLL: +2% NVNXF: +2% But a couple losers: ABML: -3.5% EMHLF: -5.25%
Vulcan Energy working on lithium extraction from geothermal, no carbon footprint. Ambitious plans to produce zero-emission lithium with geothermal in Germany Vulcan Energy Resources VULCAN E FPO (VUL.AX) Stock Price, News, Quote & History - Yahoo Finance Not to be confused with VUL.V (Vulcan Minerals).
Interesting, they mention the same process could/or is being used in California. I didn't realize you could extract it from groundwater.
Unfortunately I can't buy bulletin board securities and am limited to the US stock exchange otherwise I would have invested after you first posted about this. PLL is up (not 56% but still a good showing).
Novonix being up ~29% today is probably related to Jeff Dahn being named as the “chief scientific advisor” for them: Battery scientist Jeff Dahn extends Tesla contract, forges new role with Novonix That sort of links them to Tesla a little bit.
It looks like these were both linked, released today: https://lakeresources.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/lke_drilling_at_kachi_as_dfs_funded.pdf
Vulcan down 16%, probably profit taking, Lake up 23% and Novonix up 12% probably riding yesterdays news.
