Lately WSJ has been pretty rational about the future of BEV's and Tesla. Here is one from 20th Dec 2016, oriented on the positive outlook for utilities powering BEV's:

The article is just stating what most of us already know. If the utilities implement appropriate mechanisms and enticements for people to charge their cars with the minimum impact on the grid, the grid will need very little new resources to support very large numbers of electric vehicles.

True, but the WSJ is nit noted for an accurate appraisal, especially as BEV's are being accused of being catastrophic for utilities.
