I have an opportunity for a pretty decent promotion with my company.
They have asked me to relocate to the Houston area. I’m thinking The Woodlands would be my best option. My wife and I are originally from the Northeast, Pittsburgh and Maryland areas.
Need some help selling this to her. She’s a nurse with management experience and she shouldn’t have a problem finding a gig pretty quickly.
Her concerns are obviously the heat and being too far from her mom. We currently live about 3 hours from her driving. I originally tried to sell her on the fact with a direct flight it’s less then 3 hours.
I’m working on planning a long weekend to impress her.
Any suggestions on the area, upsides to living and so forth?
Unfortunately, I was there last year after Harvey to help out and sent her a ton of pictures of the devastation in and around the inner city. Obviously this is all she references. She has never been there.
