    Thanks for sharing the video, these cars are amazing. When I visited Pete Gruber last month and got a tour of his shop he showed me several wrecked Roadsters which he has purchased for parts. The amazing thing is how the frame parts are connected with glue (the orange you see in your video at points of connection on the frame), which turns out in some of the cars he showed me the joint was intact but the metal had failed just a few inches away.

    A really cool video everyone should check out is the making of the Elise. It talks in depth about how the chassis is extruded and the process developed to not have to weld anything but the rear subframe.

    ...some good news: EU # 290 back on the road after major damage - luckily the frame was unharmed:

    this car got allready roundabout 200.000 km's with 1st. ESS on the ODO, we also overhauled the complete suspension, upgrade brakes etc., it's running better than ever...

    it's been for sale for ages (min. 2 years), i went to have a look at it not too long ago: frame is cracked, ESS (off course) is fooked and unfortunately was outside with no roof for quite a while so intereur is useless, somebody tried to work on the battery, missing parts, no charging-equipment and the seller is not prepared to negotiate at all...sad...write off...
