This car apparently sold today. Unfortunately it doesn't say for how much, or what the condition the battery was in.

I purchased #468.

Towed it home the next day (I live in DC) and drove it around the neighborhood a few times; so far everything is fine. The battery receives a full charge of ~140 miles, which seems normal given the age and mileage.

Congratulations! 140 is a great number given all those miles. It gives us all hope that our batteries will still be in that kind of shape when we get well over 6 digits. Let us know when you hit 200,000!

By the way, are you still planning to get #933 fixed, and if so, which one will you keep?

This is great news! We all suspected it might be a legit runner as there didn't appear to be any physical damage noted or visible in the photos. Any error msgs in the VDS/logs? Also, very curious if it's still whitelisted in Tesla's system after ended up where it did. If not, an annual service with a bonafide Roadster tech at an SC in the D.C. area trust may be in order. Regardless, glad this story had a happy ending :)

Seeing TPMS warnings on all four tires in the display. Pulled the logs but haven't closely analyzed them yet. The car has a clean title so definitely no issues as far as Tesla is concerned. Seems like finding a competent Roadster tech on the east coast can be challenging, but will begin asking around for sure.

In the process of getting the pack installed on the west coast; hopefully I can get it roadworthy again. Based on specs, it'll be a 2010 with 10k miles and a new remanufactured 2.0 pack with 5yr warranty. The only stinger is it'll have a rebuilt title, which honestly makes no difference to me especially considering all roadsters are out of warranty anyway. That said however, I'm leaning towards keeping both for as long as possible, although I fear eventually my significant other will execute her veto authority and overrule, at which point I'll have no choice but to let #468 go.

If 468 has a clean title, you might prefer to hold onto that one in spite of the lower range since SCs usually won't touch or sell parts for a salvaged Roadster. I'm surprised you've gotten as far as you have with 933.

When i bought mine, it had the TPMS fault. The SC placed an order for new sensors and after a month of waiting came to the realization that Tesla doesn't have anymore and never will, so they had my purchase some aftermarket ones. They put them on for me and cleared the fault for almost no $. This was the source they sent me to, and they've been flawless:

Fair point. Although its worth noting Telsa has reversed their policy on salvaged vehicles; they will now sell parts and service everything in the vehicle except the HV system, which requires a separate inspection.

Thanks for the TPMS link, will be sure to give them a try!

Another totaled Roadster...Happen my in my hometown

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two people were hospitalized early Monday morning after a crash between a tractor-trailer and a Tesla Roadster on I-90.

New York State Police say a tractor trailer was driving eastbound on I-90 in the Town of Rotterdam when it ran into the back of a Tesla Roadster which had been stopped on the shoulder and “abruptly” pulled back out into the road.

The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to Albany Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Tesla was flown to Albany Med with serious injuries. Their condition is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.

Tesla only provides 2 years on the roadster re-manufactured packs. they mistakenly quoted me 4 years in an email from the SC so I held them to it, but normally Tesla Roadster PACKS are only 2 years per

If you have a email or communication from Tesla stating that its FIVE years... then press them and they will honor it...

YMMV... Good Luck!

Re-Check the pack warranty length.... based on tesla's own warranty docs its 2 YEARS on a ROADSTER PACK , not 5 as you stated! If its a salvage title after the pack was added as well, tesla wont honor the warranty anyway....

YMMV.... just my observations...
