Devastating to see this, but most importantly, I am very glad to hear you are walking away relatively unharmed.
After seeing Medlock & Sons turn a pile of crunched parts into a functioning vehicle again, I have zero doubt that 1038 will live once again in the future. That is a very special car and only one of six like it.

On the bright side, I know that at least some of the non-burned roadsters on that list were repaired and back on the road with salvage titles now…
Yes; 6 in the 2017 fire, 28 in the latest, if we assume all the “Fire” cars in that registry are from the Gruber fires and not other incidents.
The 10 cars now known to have burned that weren’t already suspected are 139, 141, 231, 556, 781, 853, 985, 1048, 1311, and 1448.
Their registry also confirms the previously suspected losses of 430, 620, 925, 1216, and 1219.
If their entries are accurate, 1125 and 1211 appear to have survived by having been parked outside at the time of the fire.

For some reason 715 is marked as “Collission” (sic) on their registry; my notes have it as having burned in the 2017 fire - it’s possible it wasn’t fully repaired at the time of the fire, which would account for the discrepancy.
It would be nice if the registry noted that the burnt Roadsters were the result of building fires, and didn’t just spontaneously combust - might save some confusion and/or EV FUD-mongering down the line. These cars ain’t Bolts!

Of the non-fire related losses, how many of these are listed here in the “wrecked” registry already?
Or how many known were brought back by Tesla for parts, or companies rebuilding Tesla’s. I’m sure there is more than one.
Has anyone put together a tally of all Roadsters permanently lost to get some idea of numbers remaining?

This is a very comprehensive list. For our list, we have saved dozens and destroyed zero.
Rebuilding is going to be a challenge when he's burned up a dozen or more parts cars also.
We will retain the parts supply we have so we can stay in business and repair/restore/rehabilitate dozens more in 2022.

Not all of the roadsters on this list are from Gruber's fires. If you look a good number of these are due to collisions or other reasons. This list came from a database Gruber is collecting.
Who said they were all from Gruber's fires? No one. He had a good head start in collecting the list since many were in his buildings when the loss occurred.
Well Carl was making it seem like all these cars are from Gruber when he said:
So I was simply pointing out that this isn't the "cars Gruber has saved/destroyed" list but simply a wrecked roadster registry they've created which after all is the point of this thread...
I think he was mainly pointing out the ones that have "Lost-Fire" in the disposition column.
