I think the thing I miss the most about my cloth seat s75d over my black interior m3d is the black headliner.

I don't care about the Alcantara feel, but I did like the dark interior.

I know there's a $2k upgrade where you rip out your headliner and have someone reupholster it, but I'm not down for that cost or method.

How realistic would it be to remove it and dye it, or possibly dye it in place by masking things off well and doing it carefully with a sponge or roller by hand? My biggest concern for removal would be messing with the airbags and wiring behind the headliner.

Anyone done this on the cheap and easy with good results?
