Ironically Edmonton recently ditched their electric trolley bus fleet and ripped out all the overhead wires. Too bad. They didn't look fast, but those were buses you didn't try to race from a stoplight! :eek:

Wonder what the max speed would be?
If you're concerned about speed limits of the catenary equipment, I'm pretty certain Japan's bullet trains use a very similar technology. Spot the overhead wires in that photo. :)
