With Amica, our 3 is a little more than our 2011 Infiniti G37x and a little less than our 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Not unreasonable IMO.

Check around more. I had some that were crazy high. Farmers was a little bit higher than my Highlander, Geico was actually slightly cheaper.

Teslas are almost impossible to steal and very safe. Seems like some insurance companies are figuring that out.

Southern California. The Model 3 is expensive to insure wherever I go. All of the major insurance providers are quoting me north of 300/month for the car. When it comes to a strict cost of ownership, the 3 is going to be significantly more expensive than the hybrid I've been driving.

AAA classified my Model 3 as an 'Exotic' car - indeed it's pricey!

I wouldn't recommend AAA if you want affordable insurance rates for the Model 3. Shop around there are lots of better rates out there.

Also people comparing prices when living in different states just don't work lol. Same insurance company quote from different states will net very different results.

Just got a quote for my M3P, and my 2010 Honda insight.

Just over $100 per month. They had no idea that it is a performance model, so it might go up in the future.
