Those with premium interior lights

Has anyone else noticed the drivers under arm door light is only on while the door is open? Not on while driving.
Is that normal behavior?

Fixed!:
I swung by the service center, and sure enough they had swapped the two wires while repairing an air leak. Took them 10 mins. All good now. Thanks! @Firewired

I think mine is on all the time. I THINK so at least since I've specifically looked at all the lights when on - will have to check it out.

It's configurable, go to the lighting panel and if ambient light is "on" they're on while driving, if it's "off" they're on with the doors.

I have them "on" but the drivers door only comes on with the door open. I thought that was peculiar.
Anyone else having the same experience?

Mine is set to always on and they are always on.

I had the same same problem. The wiring harness connector for the ambient light and red door light are identical. Mine had the same behaviour and came backwards. They had to open the door panel and switch the wires and now it works fine.

Thanks @Firewired. I was afraid of that. Looks like I'll have to go to the service center. I believe they swapped them while dealing with a air leak in my door handle.

I'm curious what color are folks overhead lights? I thought before getting mine they were going to be some super white and bright light but it's a much warmer color that I expected. Plenty bright, just curious what color tone others have.

I perceive the cabin roof lights as bright white.

The dome lights were originally bluish white, but newer ones are a warmer yellower white

I think the lights are in the 3000K range versus the really bluish 6000K lights that it sounds like they used to have.

Yes, my 34k VIN S85 had a very cold bluish LED (in the 10,000K range) in the domes and my 89k 85D & 90k P85D has very warm almost tungsten (2700K) feel LED's
