Thoughts on GM's President's Opinion Piece on CNN?

Anyone else see this opinion piece from GM's president on CNN? He lists 3 main hurdles that have to be overcome in order for EV's to go mainstream. It seems to me Tesla has already met all 3 of them....

It sounds to me like somebody that only offers 1 low-volume EV wants people to put off their EV purchases.

I mean, he's not wrong that the 3 hurdles need to be overcome for complete EV adoption. But there's plenty of happy EV owners right now, and room for plenty more...

Thoughts? He’s just trying to protect their brand. No information content there...

His 3 things:
1) range of 300+. Tesla has even if he doesn't
2) charging network. Tesla has even if he doesn't
3) price. He has a 16k new car so if that's the target, tesla isn't there.

2 of 3... and the third isn't as much of a hurdle as he implies.

I think he's right about the 3 problems, but also that Tesla knew this before he did and has already solved these problems.

GM exec is just talkin' his book. They all do.

Tesla's way ahead of GM in knocking down the barriers to EV adoption, and he knows it.

So, he has to pretend that 'EVs aren't ready for primetime yet', when the actual truth is, GMs EV efforts aren't ready for primetime.
