Doug_G, respectively I still can't get my head around the notion of spamming. I hate to continue but I think it is important to get some common understanding as there is a fundamental usage pattern.
Invitation or not, to my shameless self promoted agenda or not is secondary. The primary factor is whether it is relevant and staying on the topic. If it is relevant, then it is not spamming, regardless whether or how the net effect of it benefit anyone, including myself. It is a fair freedom of speech.
Internet is by definition hyperlink. Without relevant links and cross referencing, we can all go back to email.
