We recently had the rear passenger tire flat repaired. The garage used the chassis pucks and lifted just the rear of the car to fix the tire.
Several days after this repair, while driving we now hear a periodic Thumping Sound in the floor area from the rear portion of the car. If we drive 20 miles, we may hear it up to 2 times. I have inspected the underside of the car at the lifting points and there is no abnormal findings…all looks good.
Just wondering if the stress of lift the car or even the colder temperatures we are experiencing is causing an oil-can metal deformation sound somewhere is the floorboard area?
Any input would b e appreciated!
