for a few months we've been hearing this annoying ticking noise coming from the footwell area. it's consistent at varying speeds and occurs every few seconds, like a watch ticking sound. it's been present for a while but we haven't brought it in because i'm waiting for my annual service and next tire rotation in june.

i thought at first it had something to do with the accelerator pedal, but the sound does not seem related to the travel of the pedal at all. it's just ticking no matter what i do, even if i'm driving a constant 70-75mph on a straight smooth freeway.

has anyone else experienced this yet? i recently did a reboot and also just got the 6.2 update a few weeks ago.

Does your car have the newer brake actuating system? That was known to tick the way you describe. However, I though that the ticking was fixed in a software update.
