If any one fancies charging their Tesla using tidal power, take a trip to Shetland

Shetland electric cars can now be fuelled purely by the power of the sea

Drivers on the Shetland island of Yell can "fill up" using tidal energy in what is believed to be a UK first.

Unfortunately they've only put a 7kW charger in and sitting on the pier in Cullivoe, there's not much to do there apart from go for a walk.. the nearest shop is about a mile away . There's a youtube video out as well with an M3.

Hi all, the Tesla in the advert is me, yes it’s not perfect but it’s a proof of concept.
they wanted a Tesla for the ad as they are using Tesla battery storage for the tidal energy produced which now also feeds in to the local grid.
