Good share, OP. Waiting on Tesla for parts can be infuriating, this is something that's delivered fast, is cheap but effective, and you can totally swap yourself.
One tip for changing steering components......Alignment adjustments are made millimeters at a time, so if you aren't careful you can significantly impact your toe values. Make sure you mark the position of the retaining nut on the threaded part of the tie rod, and only loosen it enough to back off the old tie rod end. That will help make sure you get the new piece as close as possible to the position of the one you're replacing.
