Time of delivery

Also, just as an FYI for everyone, my Tesla Account page still shows "We are drafting up your contract and will contact you when you can make your final payment."

However, I have already finalized everything and made final payments. The vehicle is being delivered as I type, so don't lose hope if your account page doesn't seem to update.

Just hound your delivery specialists every now and then to get as many updates as possible.

So I ruined my F5 key for nothing?

U got your VIN?
I wonder if the insurance thing is holding you up? When I asked them about insurance without vin, they told me to upload my current insurance policy number. In my account section it has my current policy number. I will add my MX to my current policy when I am closer to taking delivery as insurance is more expensive on the MX. Currently car is "In Transit" to Hawaii, who knows how long that will take.
 
Newest update. I filled out the rest of the info that I could, all except the payment information. Informed the new delivery support specialist from Vegas that had emailed me yesterday that according to my OA We were waiting for the final invoice from the team that installs the Carbon interior that I had added off menu the day of ordering 4/27. He then somehow emailed me and cc’d my OA asking him if we can get an update on final pricing. So at least I now have two people helping!! I feel like this is a step in the right direction lol. Fingers crossed.
 
Mine included their information in the "prepare for delivery" email that was sent from Tesla when I ordered the car.

If you didn't get one, just call your local delivery center and ask to speak to a delivery specialist or see who is assigned to your order.

My "prepare for delivery" email included nobody's name. I will have to drive over there if I want any info, as they don't answer their phone or messages.

EDIT: Actually got through this time. The person who took my call said that my car "is just entering production". Which could be really anywhere prior to being actually started. She said I should expect a VIN in the next week or two. That would be a 4-5 weeks between placing my order and getting a VIN. Not ideal, but guess I am at the mercy of the production line.

Update:

I got my MX on 23rd May. I got a call the evening before from the delivery centre the night before asking if it was still ok to deliver at the tentative delivery time. This was after I had spoken 3 times to the Nevada centre that day and all of them told me it would be delayed. Up until the minute that it was delivered to our house my Tesla page said drafting contract. I never received any email/phone call from a delivery advisor, nor did I get any update emails.

Process was far from ideal but happy to have the car and it's great so far.

My advice for anyone else in the same position is to call the local service centre. Those guys were far more helpful and knowledgable than you get through the main number which puts you through to Nevada.

how's the suspension, dreaded shutter when launching, and does it adjust constantly and fast enough for various driving condition. How is the power consumption and the charging rate above 80% of charge. , many of the guys on this thread is waiting for your feedback or from those who have received the car already

Congrats! Glad to know that when you called local delivery service center worked for you!

Like many others, I too am getting impatient with the silence from Tesla. I placed my order on 5/10/19 (MX 100D Black on Black w/22” wheels) and received the generic e-mail the next day from Tesla Costa Mesa. Crickets since then. No VIN on my account and I still have the option to update/make changes. I know it will be worth the wait but the wait is driving me crazy. o_O!

I ordered 4/27, west coast US, and no delivery date or VIN yet. 'Edit' link disappeared after 3wks. You might get lucky, you might end up waiting a while.

Settle in. It will likely be a long wait. Some have been quite lucky. Like @Bpseattle, I ordered about he same time (4/30), and have not heard a thing. I called my service center yesterday, and they said I "should" hear something in the next week or two. Some people have received delivery dates or VINs in about 2 weeks, but the standard seems to be 4-6 weeks.
 
Just scheduled my delivery!

My timeline:
4/22: Original order
4/25: Cancelled order, initiated new order to get the refresh
4/28: Finished entering my details (was away on a trip, not sure if this is my "confirmation" date)
... 28 (31?) loooong days of radio silence ...
5/26: Got a text telling me to schedule my delivery date (this is when my VIN was added to my order)
6/1: Scheduled delivery date!

Looking forward to it! Hope this helps others determine a rough schedule for their own delivery. I am "panda" on the Teslike doc.
 
Also just scheduled delivery:
4/24/19 ordered Blue LR model X
Didn't hear word until 5/23/19 when I called and said I was ready when they were, link opened and I paid in full.
5/25/19, when I got a text saying to schedule delivery. VIN assigned was 161XXX
Delivery scheduled for Tuesday 5/28/19
 
Congratulations. Still waiting here. Looks like all the deliveries so far have been Long Range. Anyone got a VIN or delivery date for a performance model?

Yes, I have both a VIN and scheduled delivery on a performance model X which should be delivered this week. I should know the exact date and time tomorrow. Many of you are way lucky to already be getting your cars. I ordered mine the 19th of March. The build started on the 2nd of May, finished on the 10th.
