I saw a post yesterday saying that there were capacitance sensors on the inside that would prevent it from closing on anyone. Not a lot of details so far.
The door is laden with sensors, it won't close on anyone. Even if you shove an arm in there the door detects the resistance and stops moving. We played with those scenarios on Elon's car
The cars at the reveal were moving while the doors were open/closing. I doubt that you would be able to open the doors until the car is in park (or at least stopped).
I think the real question is how many times can you open and close the FWs at stop lights when the cars next to you are asking you questions about your Model X. <grin>
