Tesla seems poor on communications because so many things can effect a deliver that they rarely want to give the customer false hopes until they have firm and reliable delivery dates.
They hate chit chat where customers want to get constant updates and information. The simply do not have the time to do it.
When things are firm, and not just hopeful, they will get in touch with you to arrange delivery. Usually not until the vehicle comes off the truck at the delivery center and gets a good going over to make sure that the car is fully ready for delivery.
As an example, your post said that your car was done being built on Feb 25th, but you are posting on Feb 24th. How could the gentleman know for certain that it will be acceptable for shipment before even getting to final assembly and inspection. If a single part is not in stock, your final could certainly be delayed.
