Tinting (heat rejecting) front windshield glass + cold climate = good idea?

For those who live in cold climates but still have to deal with hot summer, did you add any kind of heat rejection tint on your front windshield glass?

I heard that since it rejects heat from outside, it could also interfere with heating the glass from the inside during the winter using the car's heater.

Is any having issues driving with snow on cold days with this type of tint?
