Tire change

I have been told that your tire shop should have some jack lift pad adaptors to ensure that the battery of the car is not damaged during a tire change. Is this accurate?

I bought some but the tire place didn’t want to use them. They already had another Tesla on the lift so I didn’t press the issue and figures they knew what they were doing.

I bought some and the place we had do a tire repair wanted to use one. I don’t know if they had some of their own. I’m glad to have them on hand.

I figure it’s safer to carry them around in case they are needed. I imagine if I were at a rural tire shop or getting towed somewhere that Teslas are rare I’d have to be prepared with the pucks and/or reading them owners manual instructions on how to tow.
