Tire Rotation Questions

2021 Model 3 Performance Stock 20" Überturbine Rims with Pirelli Tires

No expert here so pardon stupid questions.

Does the M3P have staggered tires?
Is tire rotation straight front to back?
Conflicting info on milage to rotate, is it at the 5,200 mile mark or 12,000?

No stupid questions, just stupid people that don't ask questions . They come as a square set up, I believe rotation is supposed to go front to back opposite side and visa versa. 5-7k miles is fine, not sure there is a line in the sand.

I still go with the old-school routine of front to back, same side, every 5,000 miles. When radial tires first went mainstream in the 70s, we were warned to NOT cross sides with them, because they allegedly "took a set" that relied on maintaining the same direction of rotation.

No idea if that idea was eventually disproved, or applies any longer...

Directional tires must go front to back. I have close to 10,000 miles on my 21 M3 and the tires are checking straight all across the tread pattern so I see no reason to take to rotate them.

I have those P-Zero tires that have foam inside, can one still plug these tires after nail removal?

Rotating directional tires on an AWD vehicle probably has little value, if any at all. Benefits come mostly for RWD/FWD vehicles where load and traction bias towards one axle.

The Tesla M3 is not full-time 4-wheel drive. There is a heavy rear-drive bias in normal driving. It handles MUCH differently in the snow than my VW Passat, which is AWD with a heavy front drive bias...
