Tire slowly losing pressure with TMPS warning ... any gueses?

Technically, that's a temporary fix. The tire should really be removed and patched from the inside.

Agreed, really need to get that patch on the inside ! The plug should only be there to keep moisture and debris out of the steel belts.

I like the REMA one-piece mushroom-like combo patch and plug. Safely seals from the inside and the plug protects the belts. I also use tire butter--helps protect the rim from corrosion and makes it really easy to get the tire off later.

Unless the tire's interior is inspected, there is no way to tell if there has been damage to the tubeless liner (a common occurrence).

The tire shop I go to uses those, or something like it. They have a mock-up on display in the office.

I was convinced my slow leak was a TMPS sensor issue since it was in both front tires. My office building had construction going on at the time. The two sheet metal screws the Tesla service guys found in my tires which matched the ones screwed in the wall in front of my car in the parking garage convinced me it was not the sensors. When I asked for a full and courteous refund for my two new tires from the building management I was referred to some unread clause deep in our lease that mitigated their responsibility.

I have a nice two foot orange cone separating my wife's car from mine in our garage at home courtesy of the building. They didn't want to pay for my tires, I needed a cone to properly direct my wife into her side of the garage. Problem solved.
