Title follows delivery by 7-10 days?

Greetings. We have had our M3 for 8 days now. We still do not have the title, and can not register the car.
So it sits. We can not legally drive the car. The time for returning the car has passed(7 days), and we have
been unable to drive the car to uncover issues, if any. I have not read of others having this issue.
I assume that if I went to NJ and picked the car up, I would get a temporary plate to drive it home. We had
it delivered. No plate of any kind. I might put a plate form another car and go for a test run...would you?

just go to the DMV in your state, they will take your money for a temp plate, so you can drive.

Worth a try. thanks. We did go for a drive around the block. 20 miles. Car goes great.

When I bought my used Model S via private party in 2018 I went to the DMV (Colorado at the time) and was able to get a 60 day temp tag while I waited. I just bought proof of insurance, bill of sale, and my ID. I had to wait for the title to get transferred to my loan company but still got a temp tag without it.

Down here you need the MCO to do anything even a paper plate. Most DMV and DMV agents tho have metal plates in house to give you and skip the paper plate.
