I posted earlier: the order should be the one that make the site easiest for people to use.
Frequently-used options go nearer the top, which would be the higher-volume vehicles.

But if Tesla ever had a large volume of vehicles it would then make sense to sort them alphabetically, to make them easier to find.

There is still an area that was not changed - when on the base page teslamotorsclub.com, doing a mouseover of Community and then a mouseover of Forums still has the order Roadster/3/Y/S/X.
