To Creep or Not to Creep?

I have creep turned off 100% of the time I drive.
When the 15 year old drives, I turn it on as well as turn regenerative braking off (to simulate more of an ICE standard feel - which is what she is slated to drive).

By this you mean "Low" instead of "Standard" regen, right?

I preferred creep at first, which is odd since I've always driven a manual. The power felt twitchy and I wasn't comfortable in slow speed situations without creep.

I have it off now though that I'm used to the car and much prefer it that way. I'm glad creep is available though for folks that really want it or for getting used to the instantaneous power.

Tesla has supposedly improved the Creep behavior in Firmware 5.0 so, maybe worth trying it out when you get the update.

Didn't see anyone claiming that creep costs energy, but it seems like it should to me. So that might be a reason to leave it off when trying to maximize range. Just sayin'.

Nope, the car doesn't creep against the brakes like an automatic car. When the brake is applied creep is off. When you release the brake creep is engaged.

I like creep off now that there is hill assist. But my wife likes it on. I hope in a future update, the creep setting will be tied into drivers' profiles.
