Mcu2 has better resolution, screen looks sharp, only back up camera is too dark at night time. Overall, i love the mcu2, just done mine today, like it.

Sorry to sound like a broken record but are you driving an AP2 car or an AP1 car?

Voice commands work fine on my MCU1 LTE. I did have to learn the new way of doing them when an update changed it awhile back (used to be push and hold, now push and release, then speak).

For those having trouble with voice commands, are you still on 3G? Do you have AP taking up processing resources? Perhaps a dying chip?

speaking of MCU2 voice commands. I have my right side display set to show the energy chart as I drive. When I use the voice commands to say "tire pressure" or "show me tire pressure", it recognizes my voice command on the screen, but never actually changes to/shows me the tire pressure display

Is it supposed to? Anyone else try this?

Leaning toward the MCU2, glad it is now 1500 rather than 2500. Waiting to see how other people report about performance and benefits. I have a pre AP1 car (2013 P85, original price 96k haha boy how things change).

Getting the upgrade done now. I asked about that rumor that they're taking an additional 250 off that 1500 but they don't know anything about that.

I did get a loaner car for free though.

I asked my service center about the additional $250 off in light of the voluntary MCU1 recall and they said it was not a thing.

I have LTE. Sometimes voice commands work great. Typically though, the first time I try to use a voice command after getting in the car it usually takes me saying the command 2 or 3 times before it actually picks it up. I consider that pretty much unusable.

But if someone booked the MCU/eMMC recall, and the MCU2 upgrade at the same time, I wonder what they would say.

Do we know if they still knock off $250 if we opt to use our old touchscreen? My current touchscreen had the UV treatment and the edge yellowing is significantly reduced. I'm probably going to go with the new touchscreen regardless, for $1500 i might as well get a new touchscreen out of the deal too.

Can't speak to that one. My touchscreen is sort of wrecked so I didn't think to ask.

Worth a shot if you happen to be in that situation. But I would guess that it would be more of a matter of haggling with the SC rather than taking advantage of some hidden discount policy.

About 5 hours. Strangely, it carried over a lot of setting. Except for garage opener.
