I just turned on our system this morning at 8am. How is it that we only generated 5.6 kWh from 9.18kw system.? Seems so low compared to everyone else’s in SoCal as I’m reviewing this thread.
Could be worse. You could have had a PSPS.Today was the worst day for Southern Californias. My 8.16 kw produced only 5.4 kwh which is lowest since Dec 5 when I turned on. Cloudy and rainy.

Interesting. What was your weather yesterday? I looked at mine and produced 8.5 kWh weather not so good or it would have been 16kWh if nice and sunny all day.I just turned on our system this morning at 8am. mine was 22.8 kwh for a 8.16kw system.. Good day in LAI wasn’t there but it was cloudy all day. Today, it produced 24.7 kWh so it seems more in line with what others are posting. It was sunny all day.
You should on good days. I see on your curve a possibility of shading in the afternoon creeping about 3PM?Good thread! My Monday numbers below. Hoping to get a lot more next year from my 5.1kw system.

I guess I have shading on the south facing panels which are on the lower level roof. Not sure! How do I recognize clipping and what is that? Sorry, I'm a newbie. Thx!You should on good days. I see on your curve a possibility of shading in the afternoon creeping about 3PM?
Do I also see a small clipping at the peak or just image? Too early for clipping around 2.6kW.
Clipping happens when your panels are producing more power, much more, that then inverter can handle. Then that bell curve will have a flat top on it. This is good in that you generate more power before and after peak times than when it is not clipping. Also, you will generate more power earlier in the sun arc. That A and C area is where you generate more energy with a much higher power capable panels than inverter can produce.I guess I have shading on the south facing panels which are on the lower level roof. Hey Charles, thanks all the info!@Wannaretire do you know your inverter size? I should have asked beforehand.
I've attached a few pics.
Thanks. I can't seem to edit/remove the pics. I thought i was careful not to capture anything personal. Maybe a moderator can help me?Just FYI, some of your personal information is contained in those snapshots. You might want to consider editing your post while you can if you don't want that public.
