Today, I took delivery of my Models S, I was really pleased with the dealer unveiling and my delivery experience specialist was kind and made the whole experience really pleasurable.

My only complaint is that they were a bit vague regarding the 'My Tesla' portal, inperticular when the Tesla iOS app becomes active. At the moment when I try and log into the app I get a message telling me that no vehicle is linked to this tesla account. When does this normally become active?

The car had 7.1 firmware but as soon as I got home I updated to 8.0... all I can say is WOW! I feel like every penny invested has been worthwhile.

Congrats! Does your car have AP2.0? I got the exact same paint color -- looks great!
Hi Croman, no she has AP1.0, I choose a car from the already manufactured list to speed up delivery, Ill be honest I did consider waiting for AP2.0 but after researching it on the forums, in the UK I do not believe we will see any benefit within the next few years.

I will change the car within 3 years, so I think an AP2.0 enabled car will be my next purchase.

My SC said "up to 24 hours" but from anecdotal evidence, whether you picked up the car at 8am or 4pm, it will usually be working the next day. Mine was working very early morning the day after delivery. My suspicion is that there's a batch process or database update that runs nightly, assigning the owner to the car in the system, and enabling the app.

Congratulations, Antony. Set-up is easy and, once you begin using the app, it becomes indispensable. You are correct with regard to "money well spent." All ICE cars feel like old fashioned contraptions to me now.

Well.... at 21.00 the app became active, I was also able to change my details, forum name and other details within 'My Tesla'.

I also upgraded my 60 to a 75! I asked the delivery experience specialist to ensure that the 75 decal was already fitted when I took delivery today of my car.

Within minutes of paying the upgrade fee, the car received the upgrade and now the extra capacity is charging!

So far so good! :)

Just to re-state the conventional wisdom in case you have not heard it yet, An2ony: In order to maximize battery longevity do not leave your Tesla at full charge for any length of time. I charge to ~200 miles each time my car is in the garage. On the rare occasions I need more, I complete the charge just before I leave on my trip. Congratulations on your new car!!
