From the pictures, it looks like it has the xenon upgrade also.
VDS seems to show 95 miles remaining at a bit under 50% charge in max range mode.
Good asking price. This could be a great car for someone who is not necessarily looking
for a lot of carbon fiber options.
I like the mileage on it as likely common issues were worked out with SC earlier
in its life under warranty and it softens the selling price point.

They are scammers using the car as bait. They give you some sob story about why they need to sell the car and why it is so cheap. It is usually some elaborate and weird explanation. Then they try to convince you to wire them money for partial payments or import fees or whatever.

Around spring 2017, there was a real listing of VIN 609 with an asking price of around $65k. Car had 5k miles, a new battery (previous one was bricked when the original owner passed away and his wife didn't keep it plugged in), adjustable sport suspension and a hard top. When I first spotted a fake listing of this car for $42k at a seemingly legit dealer, I called the real seller to check if he sold his Roadster to a dealer and then he told me he in fact still has the car in his garage. That is when he discovered that his pictures were used multiple times by scammers.

2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 Double Din Sport Electric RARE Clean Carfax
VIN: #1177
Mileage: 41810
Price: $49,988

2.5 Base Model in red for sale in East San Francisco Bay area. Also posted on Autotrader. One picture of the instrument cluster showing the mileage also indicates 109 miles at what looks like 85%. Is that readout affected by heavy acceleration, causing a lower readout? Or is likely that battery has seen better days?

That's the range based upon the last few miles of driving and the battery level. So if you're having fun with a full battery, it'll estimate the range using the most recent Whr/mile. If you're driving 25 mph for awhile, you'll actually see the range increase.

They actually aren’t scams. They’re vehicles bought at auction and the seller is trying to make a quick buck. However, the fact that the seller seems to know very limited information on the cars, is just upsetting. It might explain why they aren’t selling quickly at those prices.

On first glance that appears to be a good price for a 2.5 Sport with 42K miles. But the wording of the ad makes me queasy. Quote: “This 2010 Tesla Roaster Sport 2.5 Double Din is the wild sports car you've been looking for! California Carpool HOV Stickers! The ONLY 2.5 model for sale in California! The Roadster is a future collectable that offers a driving experience like no other.”

You need to get the CAC and the maintenance/repair history.
