^^^ Any idea why it doesn't have any sport badges on the sides or back? Was it repainted?
No repaint work— the car is 100% original. The story goes like this: after acquiring the car, I wanted to have it polished/paint corrected, and ceramic pro coated. Upon pickup of the car in Florida I noted that part of the TESLA chrome badge on the rear was missing/damage during normal cleaning, an occuence I’ve come to find is quite commong. So I had the detail shop remove ALL of the chrome bright work, assuming Tesla would replace it for me quickly, easily. During this process of detail it came to be that Tesla local service center was NOT able to get me new chrome in a timely fashion. So, I had a friend wth a vinyl cutter make the black TESLA logo for me.
Since then, a new TESLA badge was acquired. The original Roadster and Sport badge is also still there, too. All of these items are in the trunk in a plastic ziplock bag. ALL old brightwork PLUS a new TESLA badge are there, if you wanted to return it back to factory visual. Since I liked how it looked as-is I never changed it back. Plus if I did that, you’d want to have the rear re-polished and ceramic coated to suit. But the option would be easy to do should the next owner want to. Note: the prior owner had the R80 badge left off the car during the upgrade, and was unsure where said badge was located. But the serial # and sticker on the battery pack, plus a VIN check with local TEsla, and receipts, all confirmed the 3.0 battery. Not to mention my blog post that outlines the 1200+ mile home from Florida with range charging etc that definitely verified the 3.0 battery (one range charge showed 340 miles at 100% SOC!)
