I edited the title since the VIN is for a non-Sport.
Good points Henry. Thx for adjusting TEG.
#193 listed for sale at Aventura Motors in New York for $52,500. Only 2,433 miles. Shown with hard top and no mention of soft top or any charging equipment.
Oops, they called it a 2010 in the banner...
Hi everyone. As some of you may know, I have finally reached the end of my Roadster journey and acquired my dream car - VIN 1462. It came out of nowhere and my face hurts from smiling continuously. In fact, it happened so quickly that I had to buy it BEFORE selling my 2.5 Sport. My original goal was to have 1414 painted Electric Blue...until the Ion Blue showed up. Information below -
2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport
VIN: #1414 of 1464 (US)
Battery Warranty Until: December 2020.
Paint: Thunder Gray & Exterior Carbon Fiber (excluding the hood vanes)
Interior: Executive Black & Dark Gray + Carbon Fiber
Wheels: Black Forged
Accessories: Soft Top, 110V Connector
This is 1 of 63 fully optioned 2.5 Sports produced in North America, and 1 of 2 produced in Thunder Gray (the other is a 2010 2.5 Sport). I purchased it at 2,600 miles with a dead battery (prior owner error) and brought it back to life in late 2018 with nearly $30,000 in upgrades & preventative maintenance including a new remanufactured ESS ($17,000), brakes & rotors ($4,000), HVAC system ($3,200), Xenon Headlamp Retrofit ($3,300), brake fluid flush, new trunk actuators, wind seal modification, new 12V battery, and new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires all around. And yes - the battery has an existing warranty until December 2020. Annual service completed in April 2019 with clean PEM and bill of health.
The condition is really nice. Exterior is a 97/100 and interior is a 97/100 as well. Paint has been corrected, polished, and waxed. A couple of scratches on the door sills, but otherwise flawless interior. Almost 6,400 original miles. This is one of the quietest and most solid Roadsters I've driven. It deserves a loving home where it will be appreciated.
Asking $78,000. It's a Roadster with a warranty and probably $30,000 in service & upgrades.
1414 nearly stole my model S funding when my wife saw it. Someone’s going to get a real nice car.
@DeedWest #1414 is my holy grail! Love it! This is the entire reason for restoring (hopefully) #994 and #1171...time to bite my fist now...

I wouldn't trust that photo to represent the actual car. I don't think they have any photos available so they found some stock photo (of a European Roadster) and de-saturated it to make it look white... My guess would be that the actual car has forged wheels.
The listing says it has external CF package, so we would expect to see the CF lip on the front air dam...
Also, VIN 592 should have the 2.0 style front nose, not a 2.5 style like in the picture they provided.
Lame of Bonhams to do that, IMHO.
VIN 592 is indeed a 2.0. I agree with @TEG on those photos being phony. The car does, however, have the following at the least:
2010 2.0 Base
Exterior Carbon Accent Group
Executive Black & Red Traditional
Standard Cast Wheels
Body Color Hard Top
10-Way Adjust. Suspension
No idea about anything else.
Also - the mileage is crazy. Did they only drive the thing once to Tesla service for an R80?!
Great catch TEG. The image link was broken so pasting it below:
Ha, same issue with the link I posted. Attaching the original plagiarized image for posterity's sake:
^^^ By the way, I think that may have been a photo of the very rare Europe only "Galactic Gray" color...
Someone wants € 157.000 for a brand new 2.5 sport..
Tesla from € 157,000.-
You should enjoy 1414 as a daily driver and preserve 1462 as a garage queen for posterity!
Wish I could afford to keep both. As for 1462, I just don’t believe in garage queens. I fully intend on taking her to 100,000 miles and beyond!
