It looks like VIN # SFZRE11B881000006 is going up for auction tomorrow as salvage:

    2008 TESLA ROADSTER, 25091346 | IAA-Insurance Auto Auctions

If it were repairable, I wonder if it would be insurable? I have a feeling it may not based on what I have read in the past about wrecked and/or totaled Roadsters.

I have yet to be a Roadster owner, but if this one was past the point of repair, I wonder if it would be worth buying to dismantle it and sell the parts online to those who need or want them? Is there a chance some of the battery sheets could be recoverable?

maybe its just the angle but the left rear wheel sits quite a way in and the right is in the correct position. I think you would have to bid pretty high to beat certain people. The 1.5 is not totally interchangeable and it would probably be more beneficial pulling 200-499 car apart and keep 006 as a whole car. It has a spare tire!! bonus

You can't tell from those washed out pictures, but P6 is Signature Green.

We covered P6 on the Wrecked Roadster Registry here. I sure hope someone can save her :(

Xlr8, thanks for the insight. It's currently up to $7k & I'm sure it will go higher.

Roadster, thanks for that link- I knew I had seen details about this one before but could not find the thread! I had been searching with the full VIN but in the future I'll also try the last 4 digits on their own.

Autotrader. Great deal at $63K for R80 (3.0 battery pack). I almost bought this car in January. Actually flew to FL to test drive. CF all exterior and interior.

Curious as to why you didn't purchase after the test drive? Anything wrong with the car?

I was hesitate because 2 weeks prior I had just gotten yellow #683 stolen in transport (also in Florida). And at the time owner was asking for $75K (listed for ($90K). Now it's dropped dramatically to $63K.

There are those with extensive knowledge of All Things Roadster, unfortunately I'm an outlier; just a driver/user. But a database of all options, accessories, and 3rd party goodies would certainly be worth creating esp wrt listing Roadsters for sale.
