Took delivery of my CPO Model S today

What would be your most important, knowledgeable 'takeaways' from your CPO experience to us CPO newbies? I.e. Anything to look for, watch out for, or to make it more seamless/recommendations or advice?

Off the top of my head my biggest recommendation is to get your financing in order ASAP if you are using your own bank. If your car is shipped to you, you won't get a ton of warning when it'll be ready. I signed the last of the paperwork with my bank on Friday evening at about 6 to take delivery on Saturday. Mine is a fairly responsive credit union, so if you are using Chase or some big bank you'll need to be calling them probably every day.

Congrats. How much was the shipping charge?

$750 to ship from Chicago to Texas. Not sure if that is flat regardless of the to/from or if it could be more or less. They use a 3d party, so Tesla doesn't have control over much after it's on the truck. That is why I did not have a lot of warning that my car was going to be ready. I got the email from my DS on Wednesday saying the car would arrive on Thursday and be ready for me to pick up on Friday.

Thanks! That does makes me feel better. I'm actually not really worried that about it in the daytime, just coming out in my dreams...most importantly, with a 2yr old and newborn, and seemingly surrounded by distracted/selfish/impatient drivers all the time, I can't wait to own the safest car on the road.

Exactly why I ordered one too.
Family is in the very near future and I wanted peace of mind with all these crazy drivers in LA.
How spacious is the back seat? I'd have to have a rear facing baby car seat for a while and I'm concerned it may not fit properly.
Congrats on the car! Mine will be here in July

There are some threads about car seats and strollers on here with some good info. I did test both our car seats out in a 70D last summer and they fit just fine...it's a big car! I am probably going to pick up a new stroller that will fit in the frunk once I take delivery. Still haven't gotten a shipping date and I placed my deposit on April 29th. Was told it would ship sometime this week and haven't heard anything yet as of noon on Thursday.

I have a fairly large rear facing seat (this one) in my S and it fits great. It doesn't touch the front seats at all. I can go snap a pic if you want.

Thanks so much for the info! No need for a picture I trust you! :D
I'm glad you hear that rear facing car seats fit just fine. I bought this car with a family in mind. When my sister in law had her baby, every time I'd get in the car with her, the front passenger seat would be so far forward, I could almost kiss the dashboard. Considering I'm 5'10 it wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world.
Again, thanks for the info!

Not sure how it was shipped, since I didn't see it between Chicago and Dallas.

My CPO adviser contact was Brent Seavey. He was great to work with. My delivery specialist in Dallas was Ray Lopez, but since I picked up on a Saturday when Ray is off a DS by the name of Jared Orem did the walk through with me.
