Took delivery today, no Slacker account?!

I took delivery today of an S75D this afternoon and the car is amazing and the folks at the Dallas SC were super awesome. One thing however. I didn't receive any login credentials for Slacker and was told it'd come via email. I have an option to login or use "Tesla Account". I'm tempted to try the latter and see if that works.

Anybody else with a recent delivery experience this?

Thanks

...Slacker...

I've bought 2 cars so far: 2012 Model S five years ago and now 2017 Model X this year. Both had Slacker working immediately during deliveries and before driving off the park lot without me even realize that there's credentials/passwords to worry about.

However, I do notice that sometimes loaners don't have their credentials pre-activated and their Slacker would be unusable without proper usernames/passwords.

Is your car brand new or one of those loaners?

I emailed tesla support and eventually after speaking with someone in Fremont on the phone they reset my slacker password and selecting the use tesla account button worked. They mentioned that the delivery specialist should have done this prior to delivery but maybe there is a glitch in the system or process.

Where is this login area? I had a slacker account that I canceled and would like to go back to the Tesla account. Can't seem to find it :(.

So good news. When I got in my car today to program homelink, the Slacker login/use Tesla account prompt was going and streaming audio was working just fine. Also, playing music from a USB thumb drive was working properly too.

How long did it take you to get the MS75D from the day your ordered it? I purchased the MS75D on Wed but the dealership claims to be in the dark as to a delivery date. The fact that you can track the MS anywhere when you purchase it but no-one at Tesla seems to know where it is during the delivery period is a bit odd.

I ordered on 7/27, confirmed 7/31, started production on 8/23, ended about a week later, deliver window set for 9/3- 9/10. I chose 9/9. So about 6 weeks which I think is normal.

Thank you. Does Tesla update you on your delivery status (e.g., location?). I ordered the 75D from their new inventory and it was already on route to the dealership.

You get some updates in the My Tesla portal : "Your order is confirmed and waiting production", "Your Tesla is being built", "Production is complete and your Tesla is in transit to the delivery center". So with an inventory car, I'm not sure what statuses you get, but that's what I saw for a custom order.

Good luck!

This happened to me. I was told during delivery that the account would update after 24hrs and I would have access automatically. This was not true at all (the whole delivery was rushed TBH and a bunch of mistakes). I had to email tesla and they sent me log in information. Took about 1-2 days to get that done.

You're right about the mistakes. I was told 40A was the max charge amperage, but I was able to increase it to 48A. I was also told playing music on a USB flash drive wouldn't work, but it worked perfectly. Oh well. The tech in these cars is changing all the time, so I'm willing to give them a little slack.

Not all delivery experts are really "experts". Another defect of mine was a non-working charging cable. They definitely didn't teach me how to get the auto fold down mirrors to work.

The slacker issue bothered me because I went out of state for my delivery and the drive back wasn't fun without some good music. Now I can't live without it.
