Took Delivery Today...The Good and The Bad :(

I printed out the checklist that was posted here in these forums and I head over to Princeton, NJ. The service was impeccable and the staff was great. I spent about 45min with the car and knock on wood everything seemed great....

1) No scratches or alignment issues
2) No rear trunk, front trunk or rear seats folding down issues
3) Paint was uniform and all we could find was slight glue rub on the front bumper which they wiped off with microfiber and a solution

Everything was going great but I did notice the AC wasn't as cold as I thought it should be. He said...it will just take time and showed me how to increase speeds and change vents, etc. All other software was fine. Driving home I started sweating bullets...I had the fan speed to 10 and the temp to LO. I toggles the Blue A/C button numerous times. Let the car rest in the garage for 30min and tried again. Same issue...as I toggle the Blue A/C button there is no change in air temperature which tells the A/C compressor isn't kicking in. Called Service and they made me perform a hard reboot...I also performed it a few more times as well with no luck.

Taking it back to Princeton tomorrow afternoon

I hope this isn't a show stopper because the car is beautiful and no other issues. If anyone has advice on the A/C issue, please let me know.

Thank you...I read the third link earlier. In my case...it’s not low, etc but it just doesn’t turn on. The compressor isn’t kicking in. Thus it’s only fan whether I toggle A/C on or off...While the fit & finish was good...you think if they did some quality control it would have been identified

Glad your trim was impeccable. However, it's hard to believe they have so many quality control issues. Good luck with the A/C troubleshooting and repair.

At least the A/C is non-cosmetic and should be an easy fix once diagnosed at the SC.

You are very fortunate to have a MY with no paint/alignment issues... no way would I give that up because of A/C issues.

Did you do a hard reset? I had the same problem and someone in the forums told me about the “Hard Reset”. That fixed mine now it gets cold fast and it’s been well over 100 for the last 2 weeks no problems.

In the climate settings turn on the auto button, also try to change temp from Lo to high see if air heats up

Tty setting the AC tempo to 61 degrees vs LO and see what happens.

with it being about 80deg and max being 81 temp setting in the car...unfortunately I can’t tell

If you mean holding down the 2 buttons until it goes black and it reboots...I tried 3x

@J-HevA check out this post - there's a quick part replacement from the SC that will probably fix your issue and this has full details - How good is the air conditioning really?

Hard Reboot: Hold down both steering wheel buttons and press on the brake until the screen goes black. Continue holding until the Tesla logo appears. Then let go.
