Does anyone know the level of access toolbox 3 subscription has. Can you make headlight changes using this toolbox 3 subscription in the US?

I recall reading of someone trying to add CCS to their model X, but the consumer facing version of toolbox 3 didn't allow for gateway changes

As of yesterday with the new service shell command window on toolbox 3 some new gateway changes can be made with third party subscription..don’t know if it’s a bug but it’s there now

Looks like it's deliberate. Most things are still not allowed to be edited (including headlamps), but the gateway menu actually shows up and there are more items than there used to be available.

Edit: Actually i didn't even notice the shell. Let me mess with that. But it does seem like the ability to edit *some* gateway configs is now officially sanctioned.

I tried downloading and running these scripts doesn't seem to do anything

So what's possible now, and what's allowed via shell command re: gateway configs? Personally going for dual charger enable, and cold weather package enable (heated steering wheel), this make it possible now with MCU1 (on v11)?

Currently the TBX-external role appears to allow changes to the following:

They're also requiring multifactor authentication as of July 30th, so sharing access will be more difficult at that point.

1password allows storing MFA that can be shared, no problem there. But so few modifiable options Just want to control the car I own, dammit. Only way really now is eMMC hardware access huh

I ended up breaking down and just paying someone to make the few gateway edits I wanted remotely. But I’ve always been a tinkerer and would love being able to mess around with it myself.
