Can you check if this blocks the rear foot vents? I've always wondered. These are the ones I bought. They work fine -- no noise, don't slide out on their own.
Sorry for the delayed response. I have CRS so I kept forgetting to check. Can you check if this blocks the rear foot vents? I've always wondered.
Yeah, even without all weather mats they are not that easy to access. I keep rarely used, but need to have items in mine like towels for if I get caught in the rain and need to dry off, first aid kit, things like that. One issue with these under-seat storage boxes. They are hard to pull out if you also have all weather floor mats with higher sides. We have to pull up the mat first before sliding the box out.
I have the Basenor under-seat storage box and Tesmanian floor mats that have really high walls. I used a Ronan Multi-Cut Rubber Cutter to trim a section roughly about 15" x 5" out of the back of the floor mat. This works great for me and gives me easy access to the storage box but if you poured a bucket of water onto the floor mat then water would leak out where I made the cut.One issue with these under-seat storage boxes. Mine aren't too hard to pull out, but I don't keep daily use items in there. Under the drivers seat are emergency blankets, windshield cleaner and towels for that. Under the passenger seat are spare towels.
Oh, I see this product, but I don't see a good review about buying it, even though it's cheap. But I didn't buy it.These are the ones I bought. They work fine -- no noise, don't slide out on their own.
Difficult to deal with if water comes out during car washI have the Basenor under-seat storage box and Tesmanian floor mats that have really high walls. I don't follow you. Do you have a problem with the interior of your car getting flooded during a car wash?Difficult to deal with if water comes out during car wash
With the seat all the way back I could easily reach into all of my Basenor under-seat storage box while seated if my arms were long enough. You can verify this without a box since the back of the box abuts the floor vent.People with easy enter setting ON, are you able to reach into the bin without pulling out the bin drawer?
When the inside of my car is very dirty, I will wipe it with a damp towel, and I will not pour water in the carI don't follow you. Do you have a problem with the interior of your car getting flooded during a car wash?
Got it. I don't pour water into my car either which is why cutting the floor mat is not a problem. Maybe people who live in areas with heavy snow and slush would prefer to keep their floor mats intact. When the inside of my car is very dirty, I will wipe it with a damp towel, and I will not pour water in the car
Did you get the ones with, or without, the silicone case? I purchased both, and find that the ones without the silicone overlay slide in and out easier, but they are more prone to noise, since items slide around them quite easier.I have these underseat trays for my fronts. It's not too hard to pull out with the floor mats; however, I don't pull it out all time. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NBL277Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Yeah I got the one without silicon case, I do have bottles that do slide around in there if they are not packed tightly.Did you get the ones with, or without, the silicone case? oh, out of stock is really badGot it. I don't pour water into my car either which is why cutting the floor mat is not a problem. Maybe people who live in areas with heavy snow and slush would prefer to keep their floor mats intact.
BTW: I use the 3D LVP products for cleaning the interior. I use Meguiar's Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner for cleaning the floor mats. It's good at restoring the black color although it seems to be out of stock most places ATM.
