Torklift Central needs a Model X to test front license plate bracket

Some of you may be aware that Torklift Central in Kent, WA makes a great front license plate holder for Model S called The Law. It allows one to mount the front plate without drilling the front bumper. They need a Model X to see if the current system will carry over and, if not, to see what they need to do to make it work. Do you know if they've come up with anything for the X yet? After yesterday's refresh of the S, I bet there are a lot of new S owners who will be looking for a similar product.

Unfortunately at this time we have not been able to get a Model X into the shop for testing. But, we are still looking so if you know of anyone with a Model X in the Seattle, WA area please send them our way!

We have also just confirmed the fitment of the EcoHitch on the 2016 Model S so there's more options for the 2016 Model S owners.

If we want to quickly add and remove the license plate what is the process? How long does it take? Comparable to magnets?

Torklift Central measured my X for a front license plate holder last week at the Seattle service center. I will post when I have further information.

Looks like Tesla will be providing their own no-drill solution for the S. Hopefully X owners will have a similar solution soon.

Just a few days after we had the SC install our front plate.

Are the new X's coming with a plate holder like the redesigned S ones are they just drilling and mounting the BAU? I would wait for the Tesla one but this looks promising and much better than drilling into the bumper.

I'm in the same boat. We waited as long as I was comfortable and then put it on. Oh well.
