Never? Ok, I also think it would be cool to have more flexibility in the display and position of things. Unlike a phone, if something goes wrong, such as you hide or covering something critical, you might crash. Yes, this seems a bit far-fetched, but a car's systems are a lot more critical than making a mistake on a phone. Adding flexibility makes QA testing all that much harder too. Do you test every possible combination? Is that even possible? Then there are regulatory issues that could be at play. I think all of this is solvable, but risks go up when you add lots of development complexity. Love to be wrong on this one as I also prefer having options for lots of personal customizations.
