According to Baird's Ben Kallo the final production variant of the Model X will be released in September - October. He pegs deliveries to start in the beginning of Q2.

I don't think he knows what he's talking about. The final production model will be unveiled when deliveries start in Q2'15. Maybe we'll see Betas by October.

I believe that he is actually well informed. The confusion might be just semantics. Since Beta prototype purpose is to validate the manufacturing process, as opposed to Alfa's purpose to validate car design, he is loosely right calling it "final production format". It means that all design changes are completed and car design is set, while tweaks at this stage are limited to the manufacturing process/equipment
