Tow bar hitch moisture

I have a Model 3 LR (March 2021) with a tow bar fitted. I have a 6pin adapter to plug in the 13 pin electrics socket. When i remove the socket/ cable I often get a spray of moisture / clear fluid. The car has not been wet for weeks - anyone know where this is coming from. Will it cause a problem with the electrics? (Actually I think I may also experience a general wetness when I remove the tow bar panel to insert the tow bar.) Really mystified! Where could moisture come from?
