Tow Hitch Bike Rack For Ebike

After finally taking delivery of my 2021 MY I was researching how to mount my tow hitch bike rack without having to do an extension. As most of you know you can’t use a straight pin with a lock because the electrical outlet is in the way so I got a right angle lock that I was able to use with the existing pin so I don’t have wobble. I own the KAC Overdrive Sports K2 2” bike rack and it’s made to hold up to 120lbs which I need for my 63lb ebike without a battery. A fellow member here recommended this pin lock and it works flawlessly.

That’s different than issuing a blanket statement that straight pins don’t work.
The pin and lock that comes with my bike rack does not work that is why I had to switch to a right angle lock which is stated in my original post because of the electrical outlet on the MY. Did you just glance over that part because I wasn't issuing anything?

Looks like a blanket statement to me.

I think the confusion here is with the term "locking", which the OP means as a *key* lock. A standard straight pin (with no key lock) definitely will work fine, but a "locking straight pin" definitely will not work because there is no way to get a key in from the side (and, this would be true of any straight pin lock style). I too have this same hitch for our MY and I also had to buy a diff pin with a key lock that faces the rear of the car.

Where did you get the right angle lock for the pin? I just returned the KAC rack because KAC said they don’t have a lock that fits.
If there are other recommendations for an ebike rack with locking pin that fits the factory installed hitch on my MYLR, chime in.
