Towed with 20 MYP today = abysmal

I don't know. I've always associated trucks and large SUVs with towing, not CUVs like the Model Y. We put a tow hitch on our Honda CRV to attach a bike rack, like most people ;-) But definitely EVs aren't great for long range towing.

I was thinking the same. The Nissan Rogue has a towing capacity of what? ~1400 lb? I'd expect it to handle that pretty poorly too, even for short distances. Granted, it'd be able to drive poorly for large distances if you really wanted, so I guess that is a plus.

Compact SUV/CUV isn't a segment where every vehicle is expected to tow well.

Porsche Cayenne - 7500 lbs towing capacity
Land Rover Defender - 8200 lbs towing capacity
Jeep Grand Cherokee - 7200lbs towing capacity
Ford Explorer - 5200 lbs towing capacity
Audi Q5 - 4400 lbs towing capacity

these are all mid-size vehicles with prices starting in the 30’s.

A CRV could tow a 1000 lb trailer all day. Any ice Car suv or cuv could. This isn’t asking much.

A Tesla can tow all day too, I don't understand your point. Just like you would have to refuel during your day, you need to recharge, that's all there is to it.

it could if you could find somewhere to stop and charge it every 100 miles and wanted to wait 45 minutes .. lol. You might be better off using a horse/carriage.

I put on a hitch rack yesterday and put a dirtbike on it . The rack weighs 100 and bike 250 about 2’ back off the hitch

the car did fine but rear suspension was a little compressed. Avg 450 wh/mi not as bad that’s 150 range. All back roads 45-55 mph. Not sure in hwy at 65 how it would do

I think im gonna get a aluminum single bike carrier, this might better than towing a trailer but I didn’t get on a hwy
