Toyota bets big on Fuel Cell Vehicles

At this point, I think the hydrogen fuel cell factions as they relate to personal transport are still hanging around for 3 reasons:

1) Inertia. Companies already have programs, employees, and sunken costs on hydrogen fuel cell cars and therefore don't want to give it up.
2) Fossil fuel industry dreams. They can at least envision a system of hydrogen that is much like the system of gasoline is now. Seeing how they survive and thrive in an EV market is still much harder to picture.
3) Stalling. Not favoring a world of EVs, some still hope to sell dreams of things that will never be in hopes of maintaining the status quo.
