    I think the story's ending would have been more of a surprise had they edited out the bit about the very short range.

    Well they make a big deal about it being a commuter car and 15 minute quick charge etc. It's old school Toyota again.

    But they have shown a sense of humour with their PiP UK pricing. Close to the Ampera for less range and without a heat pump in a country where you need heat more than cooling. I know petrol's expensive, but come on.

    Certainly no surprise here. Toyota dislikes electric cars with a passion and will only make them when forced to do so.

    Yes, and that's good news for Tesla, besides the drive trains and battery packs for the 2600 RAV 4EVs they will produce in t he next 3 years, the longer Toyota stays asleep, the more time it gives Tesla to perfect their manufacturing capabilities. By the time they wake up, game over for Toyota. We are probably in for a bout of hyperinflation and dollar devaluation like we've never experienced before, China is attempting a run on the "petrodollar"
