I agree about legacy/ sunk cost problems, but they can do plug-in hybrids beyond just a couple of "primes" Right now my only choice for a 3 row PHEV is a Pacifica and I prefer Toyota ...

Some YouTuber media and some other auto media have asked about PHEV Sienna and Highlander.... Answer was "we do not discuss future products". So it sounds like it is on the way... And don't want to lose current sales.

Toyota is slow with evolution. So my wild guess is 2 to 3 years from now when mid-cycle refresh with PHEV to boost sales. Hell, I am sick of waiting for the Rav4 PHEV hype to calm down to replace my Wife's fake Tesla SUV Rav4. She hates cars without buttons... Really hate my S. And that has more buttons/switches than a 3/Y.
