Toyota RAV spotted Supercharging at Roseville

According to the Central Valley EV group on FB, a Toyota RAV was spotted plugged into a Supercharger at the Roseville Galleria site.

This is new to me. According to the post, the owner gets free Supercharging, and she had an adapter to go from the SC plug to the RAV intake.

I wonder how this can be.

I tried to link the picture to here, but had an epic fail. I took a picture of my computer screen with my phone and uploaded thusly. I hope the clarity is decent.

It's plugged in, but it's not charging. It's connected via a JDapter Stub/Tesla Tap that allows non-Teslas to charge at Tesla DESTINATION stations, but not Superchargers.

Add the missing Tesla components and tweak the software. Oh, and make sure the VIN is part of the Tesla club!

It would be a hoot - go to the supercharger & find someone pulled the body off a Model S - & mounted a 58 Impala body in its stead.

Certainly Toyota has not made an electric RAV4 for many years so I suspect that picture is a hoax.

Ok, yes you are correct; I over asserted my position. My point should have been that since the basic drive train IS a tesla drive train, in theory it could supercharge. Yes, it would need a new charge port and cabling to the HV battery, so hardware changes would be necessary. However, it wouldn't be like adapting a completely separate design, such as the Bolt, to supercharge.
