Track mode for AWD?

    I wonder if this is something Tesla would consider after the push for P sales the rest of this year.
    Us non P owners want to play too.

    There was a long thread about unlocking software ie make AWD a P via software etc ...highly doubtful the normal AWD will get this ... similar to how on S X Tesla made certain features ie Launch Mode only for the Ps.

    Nope. You want track mode, you have to pay for the P+.

    Coming from someone that paid for P+, I'm doubtful they're going to restrict a software only feature to those that paid for an unrelated feature. As far as I'm concerned, give it to whomever wants to torment their car. At most they might restrict to P model due to warranty/testing of drive units.

    P+ has the bigger brakes to support the change in driving dynamics of track mode. ;)

    I would be very surprised if it was offered to AWD.

    I thought track mode increases regenerative braking significantly. Could this reduce the burden on the frictional brakes making the bigger brakes less relevant?
