Track mode - how early to enable?

First HPDE day coming up Saturday in the P3D. How long before each session should I turn on track mode to allow it to precool everything? Ambient temps in the mid to upper 80s during the day.

I don’t think it needs any pre-cooling. Just turn it on when you ready to enter the track.

I try to turn it on about 5 minutes before hitting the track to let it get the battery cool, not sure if longer is better but i think its worth doing a little early.

Perfect, thanks guys. Will plan to turn it on after we grid up, that should give 5-ish minutes before the session starts.

First session I think I'm going to be able to pick starting soc%...will charge to 100% at home, lose about 12% on the drive to the track, but will have about 2 hours to charge on either a 14-30 or 14-50 outlet prior to the first session. I'm assuming I shouldn't go to 100% due to restricted regen...what would you guys recommend? 90, 95?

I'd get it as fully charged as possible, you typically use 25-30% battery in a 15-20 minute session so you'd get full regen back in only a matter of laps.
